NAC Debunks Rumors of Super Glue Repairs, Confirms Fleet Maintenance Timeline

Kathmandu,Nepal: Nepal Airlines Corporation has firmly denied recent rumors that one of its planes attempted to fly using super glue, calling the claims completely false. The corporation clarified that these misleading reports about its aircraft and maintenance practices are baseless.

In an official statement, the corporation addressed the false claims, stating, "The rumor that one of our aircraft has been grounded while three others remain out of service, and that an attempt was made to fly using super glue, is entirely untrue." 

The corporation provided an update on its current operations, confirming that two of its aircraft are actively flying on international routes. Additionally, a wide-body aircraft is expected to return from maintenance in Italy by the first week of September. 

The corporation emphasized that aircraft maintenance is a specialized process that adheres to strict international safety standards. "We will not compromise on safety due to external pressures. The aircraft undergoing repairs will be fully serviced and ready to fly within a week," the statement assured.

One of the corporation’s aircraft has been in Italy for maintenance since August 28, and it is anticipated to be back in service within the designated timeframe. The corporation also shared that efforts are underway to ensure all four international aircraft will be operational in time for the Dashain Tihar festival. 

Furthermore, it was noted that one aircraft is currently in service, while another is undergoing an engine change, with plans to have it ready to fly by Dashain.
