Kathmandu,Nepal: The Nepal Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed a devastating plane crash involving Saurya Airlines at Tribhuvan International Airport, resulting in 18 fatalities. The aircraft, destined for Pokhara for essential repairs, crashed at approximately 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
According to the press release, all individuals aboard the flight, except for the pilot, have been confirmed dead. Pilot Manish Ratna Shakya is the sole survivor and is currently receiving medical treatment at Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital in Sinamangal. The deceased have been transported to Maharajganj Teaching Hospital for further examination.
