Ahmed, alongside co-promoter Ayub Kallada, revealed an initial investment goal of INR 2.5 billion (USD 30 million). The startup aims to eventually expand into international routes, particularly serving the Gulf-Kerala sector at affordable fares. The promoters are exploring both leasing and direct procurement options to build their fleet.

Air Kerala, originally proposed by the Kerala state government in 2005, has seen several iterations. The current venture, backed by Dubai-based investors, aims to finally realize the long-held dream of improving accessibility and convenience for travelers within Kerala and beyond.
