In a proactive response to the anticipated summer rush, the airport has invested over £20 million in infrastructure improvements, promising passengers a seamless journey from check-in to boarding.

Revamped Security Search Area

Aligning with stringent government directives on airport security, Newcastle International has undergone a significant overhaul of its security search area. The introduction of state-of-the-art scanning technology ensures a swift and efficient screening process, allowing passengers to retain liquids and electronics in their hand luggage.

The redesigned space boasts a contemporary ambiance, fostering a stress-free environment for travelers as they embark on their journeys. While the updated security measures offer greater convenience, passengers are advised to consult the airport's website for the latest regulations before their travels.

Culinary Delights and Dining Options

Responding to passenger feedback, the airport has revitalized its dining landscape, offering an enticing array of culinary options in the departure lounge.

Aster & Thyme, with its panoramic views of the airfield, elevates the dining experience with locally sourced ingredients crafted into delectable breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings.

Soul + Grain introduces a fresh concept of 'food to go,' presenting travelers with nutritious meals prepared on-site, including an extensive selection of dietary-friendly options.

Tap + Brew, rebranded from Beer House, now serves as a modern hub where passengers can savor local delicacies and craft beers, complemented by live sports coverage.

The Aspire Executive Lounge has undergone a transformation, expanding its capacity to accommodate over 300 guests. Setting a new standard in airport luxury, it introduces Aspire's innovative '3-tier' product, offering varying levels of complimentary food and beverages to suit diverse preferences and budgets.
