From 6 a.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday, a total of seven aircraft, five ship sorties, and two Chinese balloons were identified in the Taiwan Strait. The Defense Ministry reported that three of the aircraft entered Taiwan's southwestern Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ), with one balloon passing over the main island of Taiwan.
According to the Taiwan Air Force's tracking map, the two Chinese balloons crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait on Thursday. One balloon reached an altitude of 25,000 feet before disappearing at 1:17 p.m., while the other entered the ADIZ northwest of Taichung, flying over the island at an altitude of 22,000 feet before vanishing at 8:22 p.m.
The national army remains vigilant, utilizing mission aircraft, ships, and shore-based missile systems to closely monitor and respond to activities in the region surrounding the Taiwan Strait.
