Lighter Liftoff: Lithium Batteries Now Power 10 Helicopter Models

Airwolf Aerospace has given 10 popular helicopter models a modern battery upgrade! They received approval from the FAA to install True Blue Power TB17 lithium-ion batteries, replacing the clunky lead-acid or nickel-cadmium batteries used before.

This means less weight for these choppers, thanks to the TB17 being 65% lighter! That translates to more cargo space, better fuel efficiency, and longer flights.

But it's not just about weight. These lithium-ion batteries also pack a punch:

  • Faster, cooler engine starts: No more waiting around in the cold!
  • Last longer: Up to 8 years with minimal maintenance.
  • Charge up quick: Back to full power in just 30 minutes!
  • Built-in smarts: Protection against overcharging, overheating, and more.

Which helicopters can get this upgrade?

  • Airbus AS350/H125, AS355, EC120, and EC130/H130
  • Bell 206A/B and L through L4
  • Enstrom 480B
  • Hiller UH-12E
  • MD Helicopters MD369/500

And more models are on the way!

So, if you're a helicopter pilot looking for a lighter, faster, and more efficient ride, be sure to check out the True Blue Power TB17 upgrade.
