Flights Disrupted by Weather, Increasing Pressure at TIA

Kathmandu,Nepal: Adverse weather conditions have disrupted flights at most airports in the Terai region, causing congestion at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

Due to fog and haze, several flights to and from Terai airports have been delayed, resulting in a ripple effect at TIA.

Additionally, a Bhutan Airlines flight en route to Paro Airport from Kathmandu was unable to land and had to return to Kathmandu, confirmed TIA General Manager Jagannath Niraula.
