Vantaa, Finland: Finnair has announced a significant expansion of its transatlantic and Asian routes for summer 2025, adding flights to several major US cities and key destinations in Japan and China. The Finnish airline will increase frequencies to Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, and Los Angeles, and will boost services to Nagoya and Osaka in Japan, as well as Shanghai in China.
Chicago will see up to daily flights, while Finnair’s Dallas route will increase to 11 weekly flights, five more than in the summer of 2024. Seattle and Los Angeles will also gain two additional flights per week. These expanded routes will enhance Finnair's connectivity through its partnerships with American Airlines and Alaska Airlines, giving passengers easy access to North and South America, the West Coast, and Hawaii.
On the Asia front, Finnair will operate daily flights to Osaka, aligning with the anticipated increase in visitors for the World Expo 2025, and will increase flights to Nagoya to four per week. In China, Finnair will add one additional weekly flight to Shanghai, totaling four per week during the summer season.
“This expansion strengthens our customers' connectivity options to North America and Asia, leveraging our partnerships to offer convenient onward travel across extensive networks,” said Finnair Chief Revenue Officer Christine Rovelli.
