Belgium has strengthened its defense and security capabilities by ordering 15 H145M helicopters for its Army and two additional H145s for its Federal Police through the NATO Support and Procurement Agency. The agreement also includes options for three more helicopters for the Federal Police.

Bruno Even, CEO of Airbus Helicopters, expressed pride in Belgium joining the expanding community of H145M users. "In Europe, this multi-role helicopter is setting the standard for tactical airlift, special operations, and medical evacuation missions. We are confident that the H145M will quickly become a vital asset for Belgian defense and security."

The H145M, renowned for its versatility, is powered by twin Turbomeca Arriel 2E engines with full authority digital engine control (FADEC) and features the Helionix digital avionics suite, including a high-performance 4-axis autopilot. It can be adapted for various roles, from light attack missions with advanced weaponry and self-protection systems to special operations requiring fast-roping equipment.

Already utilized by military and law enforcement agencies worldwide, including the UK and the US Army, the H145 family of helicopters has proven its reliability and efficiency, making it a valuable addition to Belgium’s defense arsenal.
